Reasons why Harry Potter was the best.

on Thursday 26 September 2013

In an interview J.K Rowling said that , before taking the first book to publishers she had checked and rechecked the whole book 10 times .After its birth, it faced a lot of denials from almost about 20 to 25 so called prestigious publishers. And ultimately J.K Rowling had no option other than to try her luck with the Bloomsbury , a not so famous publisher during that time.
And the book started to show its magic. It was such a book that it got the whole kids of the world into reading. Not just one or two pages, or a review, but a hefty huge novel.

Reasons :-

1) Use of simple language -

The first book of Harry Potter uses the simplest language. It seems that our writer was clever enough so as not to choose to be some sort of professional writer and use the complex words which would just slip off head. Rather she used simple and understandable words which could be understood by the kids , and of course adults and the pros . In this way she targeted a huge section of people.

2) Main charachter defenition -

Our Harry Potter from the begining was shown as a pathetic and miserable boy who used to live with a sort of family who treated him like a waste. He was a very simple child who had no other choice other to accept his miserable condition. All those hate by his uncle and aunt and being bullied by his brother you know.  His condition is further contrasted by the living condition of   his  , who was too much loved and cared by his parents. And the kids would defenitely loose their hearts to such a boy.

3) The excitement of magical elements -

One reason why the kids would choose to read the book is the excitement to explore the magical world. J.K.Rowling uses the element of excitement after each two to three steps. She introduces a new object and totally new creatures ,with new charachteristics, which is defenitly enjoyable to explore and imagine. As much deep you go into the exlporing the more enjoyable it becomes.

4) Rythemic use of tension and relief -

This is the same idea that you would get by seeing the movies of Martin Scsorce. He is the very famous director and uses the same style. And his movies too is one of the best selling.

5) Rich use of food articles -

If you have read the book  you might have come across many delicious food articles ,  few being chocolate drinks warm your body, candies, of course the brown cakes, cookies and  delicious beacons and hams. These have sublimal effect especially on kids , which positively conditions their brain makes them to read the book further.
