Installation Process

When Ghost IRC Bot first runs on a system, it will move itself to a unique folder. Once moved, it will begin to protect itself, and connect to the IRC Server. The Persistence Shield and Bot Killer are activated automatically, however, this can be disabled if you desire to do so . Ghost IRC Bot will spawn a second instance of itself, and monitor the first instance with it. If either instance is terminated, it will be restarted by the surviving one. If Ghost IRC Bot is able to gain admin permissions (prompted upon execution), it will move itself to a system folder and run an elevated, powerful bot killer. Ghost IRC Bot will also attempt to cripple antivirus software on the host machine, and set its process as a critical process.

Question: Is Ghost IRC Bot FUD?
Answer: No, Ghost  RC Bot is currently 4/35 detected by Avira, NOD32 and two minor AV's. Ghost IRC Bot can be crypted by any crypter that supports manage assemblies.

Question: How long will the IRC Spot/Channel last?
Answer: It is lifetime, as in lifetime of the product. We cannot accurately predict this, however, it should be at least a year.

Question: Does Ghost IRC Bot come with any pre-loaded bots?
A: No, just like most Bots, Ghost IRC Bot comes with NO test installs. The spreading of your specific stub is 100% your responsibility.

Question: Who has access to my channel?
Answer: You, and only you! No one has access to your channel except for you. You're bots will not be stolen. If on private host, please note, that specific channel access depends on how your IRC server is configured.

Question: Will Ghost IRC Bot's server ever go down/offline?
Answer: Of course, server mistakes/updates occur every now and then, however during this period you will still be able to access the optional Ghost Bot application and check the current server status.

Question: If the server is down do I lose any bots/connections?
Answer: No, in no way, shape, or form will server downtime effect your bot count. However, it may take up to 30 minutes (depending on the situation) for connections between your bots, our server(s), and your channel to be reestablished.

Question: Do I need to portforward or use a No-IP account?
Answer: No. There is no need to portforward for any type of Bot. All connections are from user to server. Having a No-IP account would be absolutely pointless.

Question: Can I use this bot and optional Ghost Bot application while connected to a VPN/Proxy?
Answer: Yes. You can use this client with any VPN/Proxy. However, we have had reported problems with connection while some users while connected to an Open type VPN. We are currently looking into this problem. Until further news try avoiding connecting to your channel via OpenVPN

Question: Does this Bot save my IP logs?
Answer: In no way, shape, or form are we able to save any IP logs from our users. Although it initially shows your connected IP when connecting, that log is only view-able by any users currently connected to the channel. (So only view-able by you.)

Question: If I lose any bots due to server problems, am I covered?
Answer: No. Ghost Factions parent company to Ghost IRC Bot is not liable for any loses of bots/connections due to any error on the user or server(s) part.

Question: If I am using your server, will my bots be shared (executed/commanded) without my knowledge?
Answer: NO! Absolutely not, unless the user/customer gives permission to one of the two admins, we are not allowed to preform any commands within your channel or pertaining to your account unless prior stated. You, and you only have full control, and responsibility of your network.

Can I/Am I allowed to share my channel with a friend?
Answer: Yes. Anyone you give access to can use your channel. However, due to nickname restrictions, of course only one user can be connected at any specific time.

Am I allowed to resell my bin/account/channel/application rights?
Answer: Yes (to all four). You are allowed full resell rights!
